Vessel injury and distal embolization are concerns. Phoenix provides a front-cutting solution that clears and may reduce potential vessel trauma. In the EASE trial, safety endpoints were met -1.9% perforation & 0.9% dissection (*Grade C or greater). Phoenix offers continuous capture and clearance of debulked material into the catheter with <1% distal embolization and 0% use of distal protection.⁴
EASE trial data confirms the ability of Phoenix to effectively treat a broad range of disease morphologies, from soft plaque to calcified arteries, for lesions both above and below the knee.³,⁴ The 1.5, 1.8 and 2.2 mm tracking catheters are suitable for treating small vessels or highly stenosed lesions. The 2.4 mm deflecting catheter is suitable for larger vessels or eccentric lesions.
Phoenix is single insertion with no need to remove and clean out debulked material. It is battery-powered and handle-operated. No capital equipment or additional procedural accessories are required. A low profile, front-cutting design allows for direct lesion access without having to first pass a nosecone.

Phoenix Atherectomy System

Rotational atherectomy system
The Phoenix atherectomy system combines the benefits of existing atherectomy systems to deliver a unique atherectomy option to help physicians tailor the treatment approach for each patient.¹ It cuts, captures, and clears diseased tissue with one insertion. Phoenix treats a broad range of tissue types, from soft plaque to calcified arteries, and can be used for lesions above and below the knee.²,³

  • Visions PV .018 Digital IVUS catheter
As an adjunct to conventional angiographic interventions, the Visions PV .018 digital IVUS catheter evaluates vascular morphology in blood vessels and provides cross-sectional imaging of these vessels. With a 135 cm working length and 24 mm max imaging diameter for 0.018” guide wire interventional procedures, the device aids in peripheral artery disease diagnosis and guides clinicians toward the correct therapy for the patient’s unique needs.
  • Philips Laser System — Nexcimer Laser system for coronary and peripheral atherectomy and lead management
Philips Laser System —Nexcimer— photoablates a wide spectrum of morphologies. Philips laser catheters are indicated in many vessel types and is the only laser system available for lead removal. Powered by a common 100-240V electrical outlet, the system warms up in less than 30 seconds for an easy and fast set-up.
  • Phoenix guidewire Phoenix atherectomy system guidewire
The Phoenix guidewire is compatible with the Phoenix atherectomy system. It is designed to be simple to use while supporting both tracking and deflecting Phoenix catheters as they gently negotiate the vascular system. It maintains enough strength and rigidity to enable a catheter to be directed over the guidewire with ease, and provides tactile feedback to help with vessel navigation.
  • Turbo-Power Laser atherectomy catheter
The Turbo-Power laser atherectomy catheter debulks the lesion in a single step and offers remote automatic rotation for precise directional control. Turbo-Power is the only atherectomy device proven and approved for the treat of ISR.
Disclaimer
1. Rotational atherectomy refers to the Phoenix family of products. 2.4mm deflecting catheter and 2.2 mm auto-deflected catheter have directional cutting ability.
2. Monitor flow of excised material into the disposal reservoir during operation of the Catheter. If flow of excised material ceases during the procedure, this is a sign that the Catheter drive system (cutter, torque shaft, or Handle motor drive) may not be operating properly.
3. The Phoenix atherectomy 1.5 mm tracking catheter is indicated for vessels of 2.0 mm in diameter or above, the 1.8 mm tracking catheter is indicated for vessels 2.5 mm in diameter or above. The Phoenix 2.2 mm tracking and deflected as well as the 2.4 mm deflecting catheters are indicated for vessels of 3.0 mm in diameter or above. While the 1.5mm and 1.8 tracking as well as the 2.2 mm tracking and deflecting catheters are indicated for femoral, popliteal, or distal arteries located below the knee, the Phoenix 2.4 mm deflecting catheter is indicated for femoral and popliteal only. Refer to product IFU for detailed instructions.
