Provides accurate temperature measurements
Body core temperature can be measured in five locations - the mouth, the ear, the armpit, the forehead and the rectum. In ear measurement (also known as tympanic measurement), along with rectum, is the most accurate form. The Philips ear thermometer uses this form to offer precise readings you can be confident are accurate. The thermometer offers a accurate measurements of ±0.4°F (±0.2°C) within the range of 90.3°F - 109.3°F (32.4°C - 42.9°C) .

No matter whether you measure in Fahrenheit or Celsius, the Philips ear thermometer will give you the results you need in the scale you understand
Red LED display ring for rapid high temperature indication
The Philips ear thermometer has a clear LCD display so you can instantly see if the temperature reading is at normal* or raised levels. The light ring turns red for a temperature of 100.4°F (38.0°C) and higher. *Normal temperature ranges differ per age group. 100.4°F (38.0°C) is still within normal temperature range for babies.
